Basic First Aid Training - Level 2

The course is designed to prepare people to provide CPR and AED's in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Goals include cognitive and psychomotor objectives. This course is for people with limited or no medical training who need a credential in CPR with AED.


This course  is intended for employees and managers who wish to have a basic understanding of First Aid within the workplace, social or club situations.

Programme Objective

This one day course covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare the First Aider to administer emergency care. Participants will learn a high level of practical skill and theoretical knowledge, so that they can deal competently with any situation that may arise in the working or social environment.

Outline Syllabus

There are twelve modules in the basic First Aid Course:

  3. Wounds and bleeding
  4. Respiration
  5. Heart Attack
  6. Asthma
  7. Epilepsy
  8. Unconsciousness
  9. Fractures
  10. Burns, scalds and poisons
  11. Other medical emergencies
  12. CPR and AED Use
  13. Course summary

Training Method

A variety of skills will be demonstrated and practiced by the participants. As all our instructors are frontline emergency service personnel they add real value to the course contents.
